The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act – to lay a new foundation for growth.” That’s why the $787 billion dollar stimulus bill was designed so that after 10 months only 14% of the money has been spent; that’s why the proposed “Cap and Trade” legislation will increase taxes on individuals and businesses to the tune of $3,000 per family; that’s why the proposed health insurance legislation will increase payroll taxes for individuals and businesses and add special taxes on medical devices such as artificial hip and knee joints.
